Eb Sopranino Clarinet | |
The sopranino clarinet is the highest member of the clarinet choir and is often called the "piccolo" or "petite" clarinet. Though its use in school bands and orchestras is rare, the E♭ clarinet is required to play at the top of its range for clarinet chirs or to take advantage of its piercing quality in compositions such as the second movement of Gustav Holst's First Suite in E-flat for Military Band. | |
